As all little ones do, sweet girl needed a break in the midst of our session. I was taken aback, in the best way, with how gentle and soothing Mo was with her. I placed my camera in my lap. I took a seat and smiled, watching the intimate mother daughter moment. Mo stroked her daughter’s wild, curly hair and allowed her time to just be. I found myself making a mental note to be more like this at home. It was the highlight for me. This is the type of person who writes a book, starts a business and creates a podcast in the hopes of supporting other families. This woman is all heart.
Mo, it is so courageous to open your experiences for others. You’ve said to me before, “My goal is to bring awareness and provide support. I want to be there for others.” Chills. Mo’s future book is entitled Clubfoot Chronicles: Tips for Helping your Clubfoot Cutie During Treatment. Clubfoot is when a baby’s feet don’t turn down during pregnancy. Happens in about 1-4 of 1,000 babies born. To correct it, castings start at 2 weeks old and surgery follows at 7 weeks old. Next, a BnB (boots and bar) comes in to play to maintain the correction. The BnB needs can last up to 5 years.
I get to work with woman like Mo, whose sole goal is to be there for others. Spread awareness. It’s a selfless act, allowing your private experiences to be shared to help others. It’s inspiring. I love being able to work with people like you. Mo, you’re badass. Thanks for trusting me to bring your goals to life through the lens.
What a perfect description of an amazing mother! So glad to get to see through your lens!!
What a great set of photos! Mo, you are quite the inspiration!
So incredibly kind of you Kristin. It was an absolute pleasure working with you. You were so professional, organized and most importantly kind to my girls! These pictures would be nothing without you. Thank you for everything!
As her Mother she continues to amaze me. She is so caring to share her journey to help other parents with a spirit of hope and education.
What a badass mama and beautiful baby girl!! All very well said Kristin!! Seems like you captured them both in words and pictures!
Amazing pictures and description of what sounds like another amazing woman. Very cool to see it through Ellie Grace Photography’s lens.
